Fuel monitoring for fleets

Fuel is usually one of the largest running costs of a fleet. Fuel monitoring combines a fuel-level sensor in the tank with the vehicle's GPS tracker, so the platform records fuel levels alongside location and time.

Who it is for

  • Trucking, logistics and distribution fleets
  • Construction, agriculture and plant operators
  • Any operator where fuel is a major cost

The problem it solves

Without measurement, fuel spend is hard to explain. Was the extra cost due to longer routes, idling, a fault, or fuel leaving the tank where it should not? Fuel monitoring links each change in fuel level to a time and place.

How it works

The process, step by step

  1. Step 01

    Assessment

We confirm tank types and vehicle models, and recommend a suitable sensor.

  2. Step 02

    Sensor installation

A fuel-level sensor is installed and connected to the vehicle's tracker.

  3. Step 03

    Calibration

The sensor is calibrated to the tank so levels can be reported reliably.

  4. Step 04

    Reports

Refuels, drops and consumption appear in the platform per vehicle.

Capabilities

What you can do

Fuel level over time
Fuel level recorded against time and location.
Refuel events
When and where each refuel happened, and how much was added.
Sudden-drop alerts
An alert when the level falls unexpectedly.
Consumption reports
Fuel used per vehicle and period, alongside distance driven.

Questions about fuel monitoring

Does fuel monitoring work without a GPS tracker?

The fuel sensor reports through the vehicle's tracker, so a tracker is required. Fuel data is then shown with location and time in the platform.

Will it work on my vehicle?

It depends on the tank and vehicle type. We assess each vehicle before quoting and tell you if a sensor is not suitable.
