Fleet management and fleet tracking for Kenyan businesses
Who it is for
- Logistics, distribution and delivery operators
- Transport companies running trucks, buses or matatus
- Businesses with field sales, service or staff vehicles
- Organisations that need records of how vehicles and drivers are used
The problem it solves
As a fleet grows, the questions multiply. Which vehicle is closest to a job? Why did fuel spend rise? Who drove at 120 km/h on the highway? Was the vehicle used after hours? Without a system, the answers depend on drivers' accounts and paper logbooks. With tracking data, managers can see the answer and act on it.
How it works
The process, step by step
Fleet assessment
We review your vehicles, routes and reporting needs, and recommend the hardware for each vehicle type.
Installation across the fleet
Trackers, and any add-ons such as speed governors or fuel sensors, are installed on a schedule that keeps vehicles working.
Platform set-up
We create your account, group vehicles, add users and configure the alerts and geo-fences you need.
Reports and support
Managers use live views and reports day to day, and our Thika team supports you as the fleet changes.
Capabilities
What you can do
- Fleet map
- Every vehicle's position and status on a single dashboard.
- Trip summaries
- Start, end, distance and duration for every trip, per vehicle.
- Utilisation reports
- Distance travelled, idle time and working hours, by vehicle and period.
- Driver behaviour
- Over-speeding, harsh braking and idling, reported by vehicle and driver.
- Maintenance reminders
- Service reminders by distance or time, so vehicles are not run past their intervals.
- Custom reports

Questions about fleet management
How many vehicles do I need for fleet management?
There is no minimum. The same platform works for two vehicles or a large fleet. The reporting and user-management features become more valuable as the fleet grows.
Can different managers see different vehicles?
Vehicles can be grouped and users set up for your team. During set-up we agree who needs access to which vehicles and reports.
Can you combine tracking with speed governors and fuel monitoring?
Yes. Speed governors, dashcams and fuel sensors can be added to tracked vehicles. We recommend the right combination for each vehicle type during the fleet assessment.
